Kids getting on busFor your convenience, this website allows parents to pay on-line for home-to-school transportation. We accept major credit cards and payments from a PayPal account. Information for each student is needed and will be validated with our student information system. Additional students in each family will receive a discount.  PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL INFORMATION IS SUPPLIED AND CORRECT.  Otherwise, your student's pass will be delayed.

Note:  Reduced Fee/Exempt Transportation: Students may be eligible for a reduction on the cost of a bus pass who qualify under the guidelines of the State Gross Income Eligibility Schedule with income verification. Disabled students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) requiring specialized transportation services, and foster children or children of families that meet the criteria under PRJUSD administrative policy as homeless or indigent, will be eligible for fee exemption transportation. Registration for reduced fee or fee exempt students must be made in the transportation office (no on-line registration). Fee Reduction application packages are available for download below or in the Transportation office, and must be completed with required documentation provided at the time of application.  Fee exempt applications must provide a copy of your students IEP page indicating transportation services must be provided, or confirmation from the District Office of indigent/homeless status.

Using the On-line payment system

Please follow these steps:

1. From the drop-down box provided, please select the Transportation Option.

There are multiple options - Full year and half year, two-way or one-way, and then order of student for pass pricing purposes (i.e. first child, second child, etc.).  Be sure to select the correct option!  (See example and table at the bottom of this page.)

Note on "order of student" - You must buy a pass for each student that will ride the bus. For bus pass purchasing purposes, the "first" child is the student that will ride the bus the most.  If all children ride the same amount, the "first" child would be simply the first child that you register - regardless of age.  The "second" child is the child with the second longest length of ride, etc.  This order is not dependent on the age of the student, or where they fall in the birth order of the family. It reflects the longest ride/most use of the bus.  If all of your children ride the bus for the same amount of time, then it simply denotes the order in which you register the student.  (See the following example.)

"Order of Student" example: If a family had one student who rode the bus in both the AM and PM everyday, and one student that only rode in the afternoon (PM) for half of the year, the student that rode the most (in this case, the AM & PM student) would be the "first" child, and the student that rode the second longest, (in this example, the PM only, half-year student) would be the "second child", and so on.

2. Once the option is selected, please provide individual student information and select " Add to Cart ".   Be sure that your information is accurate and correct to limit any delays in issuing your student's bus pass.

3. If you have more then one student rider, you will need to select " Continue Shopping " and begin the registration process again by selecting the appropriate Transportation option.

4. When finished, select "Check Out"  and select your payment option. Additionally, enter your billing information, especially your phone, email address, and mailing address.  This information is critical to ensure that your student's bus pass is processed promptly and correctly.  Incorrect or inaccurate information will result in significant delays and may require a visit to the Transportation office.

5. An email will be sent to you from PayPal to confirm your purchase.

6. Transportation staff will be validating your student(s) information and corresponding with you via email.

Bus Pass Purchase Examples -

Most families will need two-way transportation - from their home to school, and back to their home - everyday for the school year.  If they have two children that will be riding the bus, they would first select the "First child - two way - Full year" option.  They would then complete the remaining information, leaving the "AM or PM" box blank, and selecting "Home Bus Stop" as their "Afternoon stop".  After completing the information and "Adding to Cart" , they would then "Continue Shopping" and continue the process by selection the " Second child- two way - Full year" option, and then completing the appropriate information for that student.  If they had a third child that needed to ride the bus, they would go through the process once again.  The fourth (and later) child is free, using the "Fourth (or more) child" option.

If this family's students rode from home in the morning, but then needed to ride to the Boys and Girls Club in the afternoon, the parent would have selected "Boys and Girls Club" in the "Afternoon stop" box.

If a family only needs transportation to OR from their home bus stop, they would select one of the "One-way" options.  In such a case, they would also need to use the "AM or PM" box to designate whether the one-way ride is in the morning (AM) or after school (PM).

For example - A student does not need a ride to school in the morning, but will be attending the Boys & Girls Club after school, and needs a ride from Butler Elementary. They would purchase a "First child - one way - full year" pass.  Also, they would select "PM" in the "AM or PM" box, and would also select "Boys and Girls Club" as their afternoon stop.

We've tried to tailor these packages to be as flexible and cost efficient as possible.  However, if you have any questions, please contact the Transportation Department @ 769-1160
