Paso Robles Joint Unified School District is ready to start the 2016-17 school year! Kindergarten registration is upon us and we look forward to enrolling your students.
  Our transitional and full-day kindergarten programs provide an amazing opportunity for our youngest students to be successful while adapting to their first year on an elementary school campus.

Transitional and full day kindergarten are held in developmentally appropriate classrooms which offer an amazing opportunity for our youngest students to be successful in their environment while adapting to their first year(s) on elementary school campuses.

  • Kindergarten is for children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2016.

  • Transitional kindergarten is for children who will be 5 years old on or between September 2, 2016 and December 2, 2016.

  • The opportunity to apply for early entrance to transitional kindergarten is for children who will be 5 years old on or between December 3, 2016 and March 1, 2017.

tremendous success with new programs!
Your child will have these opportunities

  • All-day kindergarten with a six-hour paraeducator.

  • Formal STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) instruction in 3rd - 5th grades.

  • Individualized technology learning opportunity in language arts and math with IPADs and Chromebooks.

  • Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) at every school site with additional counseling services.

  • Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) formal assessment for all students in 1st - 5th grade.

  • Arts education weekly in dance, music, visual arts, and theater at every site. Curriculum includes exploratory music (kindergarten), beginning and advanced choir (1st-2nd), instrumental/recorder (3rd), percussion, instrumental, and choir (4th-5th), grade level performances, and the opportunity to be in the school band.

  • Magnet Elementary Schools
    º  Georgia Brown Elementary School - dual language immersion.
    º  Bauer-Speck Elementary School - visual and performing arts.

  • After school programs:
    º Elementary athletics (3rd-5th grade) that includes cross country, girls’ volleyball, wrestling, basketball, soccer, and track and field.
    º ASES - After School Education and Safety
    º PRYDE - Paso Robles Youth Development and Enrichment Program.

Registration is available at the district office for students in other grade levels who wish to enroll. We look forward to working with you and your family to provide an exemplary education in our community and the district of excellence!
